USA players once again made a strong impact in the Global Super League as Hammad Azam and Brody Couch delivered valuable performances for their respective teams.
Hammad Azam continued his splendid form by scoring 64* off 46 balls, smashing 4 fours and 5 sixes at a strike rate of 139.13. Coming to the crease at 46/4, he rebuilt the innings through a series of important partnerships before sharing an unbeaten stand with Peter Siddle for the 8th wicket to guide the San Francisco Unicorns to 152/8. His match-winning knock earned him the Player of the Match award as the Unicorns secured a five-run victory.
For Perth Scorchers XI, Brody Couch produced another impressive bowling performance, finishing with figures of 3/49 from his four overs to keep his side in the contest.
